Able Assistant to the MastersYou are great at helping with projects, but much less capable when taking the lead or working solo.
Benefit+2 to skill checks to aid-another. When you take this trait (in most campaigns only allowed at character creation) decide if this will also apply to the Aid Another combat action. If so, you gain +2 to-hit when using that action.
Drawback-2 to all skill checks that AREN'T aid-another. If you elected to have this trait apply to the aid another combat action you take -1 to-hit for all purposes other than the aid-another combat action.
Roleplaying IdeasYou are always eager to help in any project, and MIGHT (or might not) even point out to others things that you think might be worth doing, but you will never, or almost never undertake them yourself.
This trait pairs well, both mechanically and fluff-wise with the Jack of All Trades feat* and/or the
Dabbler trait.
*This can be found (with slight mechanical variations especially between editions) in the following FOUR locations: Complete Adventurer, p. 110, Deities and Demigods, p. 51, Faiths & Pantheons, p. 214, and Song and Silence: A Guidebook to Bards and Rogues, p. 40.
Critique wanted! Could be abusive in builds that are already abusing the Aid Another mechanics, but since most of those rely on things that would be very difficult to fluff as having this trait... although now that I think of it, it COULD fit, say, a Lantern Archon or other even lower-tier celestial very well...
