Teleporting weapon property from XPH is a better version.  Not by much mind.

Well, there's always the Halfling Whisperknife PrC from Races of the Wild that had abilities that improved returning daggers.
As for a better enchantment, nothing comes to mind.

I guess its the Bloodstorm Blade that is the only way to get returning weapons, that allow multiple attacks by not waiting for a weapon next turn.
