NO SPOILERS PLEASE!
I am playing a Sorcerer in an Age of Worms game. GM's style is combat focused, with brief narrations at scene changes, little to no rp, or NPC interaction. General build is Sorcerer7/Ruathar 3/Abjurant Champion 5/Archmage 5. A generalist with some strong de-buffing.
Party includes: archery ranger, Bear Warrior, multi-classed TWF ranger/rogue, and favored soul (healbot).
Generally core and completes only, though if I want something super special, I have about 25% chance of successfully arguing for it. There are some house-rules that nerf the polymorph line, and a few other high-optimization staples. What I am looking for is Campaign-specific advice for spell selection, especially 6-9th level choices.
I just leveled up to 11th, and my spells are:
1- Shield, Ray of Clumsiness, Grease, Benign Transposition, Magic missile
2-Escalating Enfeeblement, Scorching Ray, Glitterdust, Alter Self, Ray of Stupidity
3- Haste, Fly, Greater Mage Armor, Ray of Exhaustion
4- Greater Mirror Image (house-ruled to swift instead of immediate), Assay SR, Evard's Black Tentacles
5-Telekeneis, Lightening Leap
Looking at 12-- Superior Resistance (with Abj Champ auto extend this is a 2 day buff, and can cover the entire party)
13-- Orb of Acid???, arcane Fusion, Howling Chain
14- Glass Strike
15-Spelltheft, xxx, Control Undead
16- Greater Arcane Fusion
17-???????
18. Time Stop
19. Mind Blank, Maw of Chaos
20. Shapechange??? (heavily nerfed)
