The article writer is kindof a douche...
He's right about some things, and totally off base about others. He's right that most problems can be fixed by spybot(hmm, sounds familiar ;-)), but he failed to warn you that it just wont get some malware, sometimes wiping the hard drive IS necessary though it is rare.
The main problem I have with the article is that the guy gives out alot of bitching, but not much in the way of solutions. Simply saying "don't go there anymore" is problem avoidance, not problem solving.
I think this guy is basically a low level techie with a few skills, a geek squad guy or somthin trying to justify his existence by standing on the backs of those who are totally computer illiterate. I wouldn't put alot of stock in this article as anything more than an entertaining read.
