Duly noted. Though, does that mean, with your correction, that extinguishing Formulae fire is DC 15, and extinguishing mundane fire is DC 20 ?

I think that the only formula that actually functions as normal fire is the 1st-level Ignite formula.  Everything else is defined within the formula, and therefore has the standard DC of 10 + formula level + ability modifier.  I think.  After writing three hundred formulae, it's hard to keep track of them all.

Devoted Pyromancer's DC boost is really to ensure that your burn ability remains relevant, as well as rewarding you for playing with fire from other sources.

(I'm going to stop invading the thread, I swear.)

Thanks, Quill!  And now, of course, another question... :)

The Charged armor ability caps at +5 because that's the normal enhancement cap.  Can we increase it to +10 because of the houserule?
Isn't it still the enhancement cap? I though you could still have only +5 of enhancement and +5 of special abilities, just that the enhancement part now is a free benefit of the special abilities.

Basically done with the mechanical side of things... this is sort of the reverse of my usual character creation process so coming up with a backstory is taking a little time.

I'm also basically done with mechanics.  I have the beginnings of a background mixing around in my head, so when it's ready I'll post it.

Quill, you may want to request a board.

Ok. I am completely done. Everything is finished and all changes are final.

The background is a little small. Tell me if you want more and I will see what I can do.

Quill, you may want to request a board.
So, anyone have a name for this campaign?
It's part of the board application, and none occurs to me.

Also, I am going to be away for a week, so I'll not be posting here for that duration.

How about "The Forge of the Makers" ?
"-Lady-Captain, we detect 20 hostile vessels against us,  and Erasmus Haarlock's Spear of Destiny ! What are your orders ?
-RAMMING SPEED !

final result : 6 slaughts vessels, 4 imperial frigates, 2 imperial cruisers destroyed. Haarlock sent into the warp. 0 losses. Flawless Victory.

I'm somewhat fond of "Legacy of the Makers" but that's just me. :)

Forge of the Legacy?

Anyway, I'm actually making a point of not invading your guys' actual game thread, but I generally check the forums two to seventy times per day, so feel free to let me know if any questions come up.  I'm rather interested in seeing how this stuff stands up to serious playtesting.

Are you sure you're going to be ok running a campaign with 9 players? That's quite a lot of keep track of. I know, I've had to run a game with up to 9 players, often without getting a say in it.  :rolleyes
