And a +20 to your next attack roll? Can you say "Power Attack"?
Well, you only get to leverage that full +20 if your BAB is already 20; otherwise you're just adding double your BAB to damage, with a bonus to hit. And that cost you a standard action to do. Bascially, if you can gain more damage from a single Power Attack than you could have done in a full round, it's a positive trade-off, but if you can't manage 2xBAB damage in a full round, you probably shouldn't be in melee in the first place.

Wriathstrike, however, is quite nice for this purpose, and it's only 2nd level.

My brain cries out in agony at this post.

I have a lot of experience scraping peanut butter out of a jar with a knife.  It does not matter how you cut peanut butter with a knife, you're still cutting peanut butter.

I supply that peanut butter is not an ooze. Jelly, on the other hand, is quite ooze-like. As for a monstrous ooze, however...

I'd say it depends entirely on the viscosity of said ooze. And whether it has a membrane, or forms a membrane-like sheath over itself. Whereas the quality of a sneak attack would certainly be diminished against such a foe, however, I would assume that most corporeal creatures need the living portions of their bodies to be in as close to "one piece" as possible to continue being healthy and alive. A rogue must merely capitalize on this fact, and work to spread and split the ooze as much as possible with each strike. This is naturally a task which would require precision of exercise, but would certainly be possible.

Well, yes, that was the point. Make a swing for the fences that's almost guaranteed to connect. Great for beating down DR or dealing with things that do damage back at you when you damage them.

I can't really think of a situation where +20 to hit is a bad thing.

Melee with suicidal jovocs? With the right feats, those little buggers are scary as heck.

That's exactly my point.  I don't have levels in rogue.

But i'm sure out there is some chef-type who would have that syrup dancing across bread on the end of his knife.  That's what I call an extra d6 of damage... to my tastebuds.

I'm reminded of reading the Dresden Files where Harry, a wizard, plays a D&D-equivalent with his friends and gets worked up because "Fireballs don't work that way," and his friends have to tell him, "It's a game, that's how it works in the game."

True Strike, perhaps?

Round 1: Standard - Draw OA , telegraph your next action to anyone with a decent Know-Arcana score.

Round 2: Hopefully the bbeg couldn't do anything about it , and didn't tell (free action) his buddies.

The difference this time is that the way it works in reality IS the way it works in game, and yet, somehow, Rejakor is advocating for something else entirely on the faulty premise that reality is somehow different.

I'm going to say the No Light cantrip from BOVD has its uses for any beatstick with darkvision.

I apologize, it would appear I was mistaken. They actually need a little bit more work before they're so frightening. Unless you're using the elite monster array, because if you are, then Martial Study and Stone Power are nice for them. Otherwise, it was Shape Soulmeld (Rageclaws) and Final Strike, but I can't figure out how I got an elemental subtype on them for cheap...

Tell me more.
My Character in an Epic Level Campaign keeps an Army of Jovocs in his pocket, and I have true interest in maximizing their effectiveness.
Im really bad at what I do.

Counting Skill Monkey types, level 0 spells (Mage Hand, Acid Splash, and everyone's favorite, Prestidigitation off core alone) are all useful

That quite depends on how often they're available. Pathfinder style infinite use cantrips can be quite useful throughout a character's career, used creatively. 1/day acid splash, on the other hand, is quite unimpressive.

a lot of first level cleric spells like divine favor, magic weapon, shield of faith & such are useful at low to mid levels. Cure spells are also always useful for mundanes (who would cease to be a mundane but who's really counting?).
Stupid twos!!!!!!!!!!!
