Abusing Changeling?

Alright, here's the idea:

We have ourselves a Changeling with the Human Heritage and Racial Emulation feats.

In other words, you polymorph Mr. Changeling, then activate Minor Shapechange to gain all the subtypes of the form you are in (whatever you turned into is a Humanoid with the Human and Shapechanger subtypes, as well as any other subtypes they may have already had.)

So, I'm thinking something like Polymorphing into a Spider Swarm to grab the Swarm subtype; my question is whether or not I could then change shape into a Lantern Archon, to gain the Archon subtype, while retaining the Swarm subtype?

How about then finding something with the Incorporeal subtype, and grabbing that?

Feats:
1. Racial Emulation
F. Improved Minor Shapechange
F. Otherworldly (through Celestial-Attended Birth)
P. ???
3. ???
6. Metamorphic Transfer.

Essentially, I can use Alter Self at will to transform into any Outsider of up to 5 HD; then, I psyref away Otherworldly and replace it with Human Heritage, thus giving me the subtypes of whatever I transformed into.

I also get one Supernatural ability whenever I transform; go me!

Did I mention that I stay in forms indefinitely?

What does having the [subtype] do different with Polymorphing ??

The Racial Emulation feat does not give you the traits of the subtypes.

The exact text is "Though you do not gain any of the humanoid's traits, you are considered to be a member of that race for all other purposes".

Well, you could become an evil outsider, gain the evil subtype and use that for two bonus feats from taint without drawbacks, if this really works.

iirc (afb) - one of the SS rituals lets you get some of the subtypes.

Indeed they do, tough that takes some considerable resources, if anything from WBL. Makes it more of a higher-leveled thing. With this one, you could probably do it by 7th level. If it works, that is.

I'm not rule savvy enough to see any reason it shouldn't, but there may be a catch. Until someone can confirm or deny this, the benefits one could have are just conjecture.

It was already disproved; you only have the subtypes for prerequisites, and the ritual has the same deal going for it.
