The article says that psionics are "magical in nature" so they wouldn't work inside an Antimagic Field, but I think a Dead or Wild magic zone is a hole or ripple in the Weave.  Since psionics don't use the Weave, they should still work there.

Oh that makes sense.... Still stuck on DM giving me a green light on it. So until then I am going to build a wizard/shadow adept/ Incantrix or Druid. Idk.

Psionics exist, canonically, in the Realms.

There is the Stray Thoughts mercenary band in Sembia, or the Kaliesh'erai in Evereska, The College of the Eclipse in Tethyr, etc. etc

Lion Totem and devotion feats definitely help.  I was thinking more the stuff like Armor of God just to have extra options.  It's not nearly as crucial to making a good Fighter as the other sources.  That's why I said "maybe" CC.
