Ghost Pixie?

So the base creature for a ghost has to be:  "aberration, animal, dragon, giant, humanoid, magical beast, monstrous humanoid, or plant."  So what is the lowest ECL way to get a pixie to qualify?  Is Half-Dragon template it, or is there something less than +3 LA?

Dustform Incarnate Construct gives no level adjustment.  Or, if you want to give your DM fits, be a Large creature with a Symbiotic Pixie.

Ah yes, almost forgot about that one.  I was aware of the Dustform trick, but I'd like to be able to keep the pixie goodies like DR & SR if possible.

And how would symbiotic work?  It doesn't actually change the pixie's type does it?
