The polymorph subschool rules is exactly my worry - they state that unless the spell says otherwise, you effectively become what you turn into (keeping only HD for the purpose of spell effects, and alignment) - turning a wizard and a fighter into a troll produces identical results, even though a fighter should technically be able to apply his feats in the new form
