E6 Wisdomancer
« on: April 24, 2012, 05:28:27 PM »
All WotC material, non-fractional system (1Ftr/19Src||20Wiz has +20BAB), E6 (Gestalt)

I'm toying around with ideas for a WIS character. Perks include:

WIS to AC/Saves/Hit/Damage
10+(Cha*2) Turn Attempts Before Items
3rd Level Spells Cast as a Swift Action
Evasion

Cloistered Cleric/Paladin
Cloistered Cleric/Paladin
Cloistered Cleric/Martial Monk
Cloistered Cleric/Martial Monk
Dread Necromancer/Prestige Paladin
Cloistered Cleric/Shiba Protector

Domains: Undeath, Planning

Feats:
Devine Metamagic: Persistant Spell (Human)
Extra Turning (Undeath)
Extend Spell (Planning)
Knowledge Devotion (CC)
Alertness (Shakey)
Persistant Spell (Murkey-Eyed)
Combat Expertise (MM)
Iron Will (MM)
Power Attack (1)
Serenity (3)
Battle Blessing (6)

Is there anything I'm missing, and if so, WHAT?! Assuming you can persistant 4 usual buffs, what would they be. I'm considering Lore of the Gods, but after that? The rest will mostly be utility spells to cast on the fly.
I appreciate the logical, cool-headed responses and the lack of profanity displayed by our community.

If you are playing E6, feats are not an issue. If feats aren't an issue, you don't need to play a Human that bad.
So an option could be Halfling for Yondalla's Sense (RotW) for Wis to Initiative.
Another could be Intuitive Strike (BoED) for Wis instead of Str for unarmed and simple weapon attacks.

Other than that, I can't come up with anything else Wis-related.

If you don't mind avoiding combat, you can go Soulknife + Soulbow and Shiba Protector + Zen Archery.  So WIS x 2 to attack and WIS x 2 to damage.

Sadly, Human is required for Shiba Protector. And it locks down other regional options. And it takes a billion feats. BUT it DOES give WIS to HIT/DAMAGE. So it should probably stay. I didn't have any feats free for Intuitive Attack.

That does require two prestige classes during the same level, which is disallowed in basic gestalt rules. And even if allowed, it does require sacrificing at least one caster level. Would be tough on prereqs, but something like this might work:

Cloistered Cleric // Paladin
Cloistered Cleric // Soulknife
Cloistered Cleric // Paladin
Cloistered Cleric // Dread Necromancer
Cloistered Cleric // Soulknife
Soulbow // Shiba Protector

That would work for BAB requirements, and provide most of what the original build had.

Btw, original build lacks Mounted Combat to qualify for prestige paladin (which is also why I didn't include a level of that in this suggested build)

Whoops it goes in instead of Power Attack.  ;)
