Would making one that is similar to GiantitP's be good, or would it just defeat the purpose of the Ask a Question forum category?

We used to have them on the old boards. We did away with them here, IIRC, because we could afford to give them their own forum where a particular question was much more likely to get an answer.

I was just thinking that the simple questions could be asked in one thread, while the more complicated ones have their own separate threads.

There is a whole
subforum
for it, and a system for marking if questions have been satisfactorily answered(though most askers forget to flag them answered). Complex questions go to whatever subforum is most appropriate.
