Hello, I'm Sokudon. I play primarily D&D 3.5, but I'm not opposed to 4th edition, pathfinder and the like.
I'd like to play more GURPS, but for some reason those campaigns just don't get off the ground.
I consider myself a novice DM, I've been the group DM for a while now with my friends, mostly because no one else was willing to do it, or could come up with something as fast as I could.
I prefer to play wizards, but that kind of character is tough to pull off as a DMPC without it eventually devolving into asking yourself for knowledge checks and preparing spells to counter your own dungeon.
I live in the United States of America, in a no-name town not too far away from Philadelphia.
Other than D&D/GURPS, I'm a big fan of tabletop boardgames, like Descent and Twilight Imperium (Oh no, we don't have 8 hours sorry, no Imperium today).
Our gaming group has gotten a little stale lately, and scheduling conflicts abound, so I may be looking for a new group / an addition to my existing one soon.
That's about it, I guess.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and I've been lurking on these boards since before the move, mostly at the guides/handbooks. In my opinion, being an optimizer and being a role-player are not mutually exclusive at all.
