Depending on how they're doing BAB, putting Ranger first would mean you can probably keep perfect BAB.  Also, while a great build, 2 or 3 levels of Warshaper would certainly benefit it.

Thank you for the progression, it makes a lot more sense now. I do agree though that I might take the Ranger level first, even if only for the few extra skill points. I'll give Weretouched Master a read tomorrow (been a few years since I've read it!) and report on the progress. Cheers for all the help!

Edit: Doesn't Weretouched Master kind of go against Druid's Wildshape? Or can you use the Shifter abilities while wildshaping?

Is that maybe what the Shifter substitution levels are for?  Do they allow you to apply your shift abilities while wildshaping?

Shit. Honestly, I wasn't really think of that, but Weretouched Master offers both an alternate from, as well as a hybrid from. If you were beginning in another form and chose to shift into the hybrid from, I think you might be able to benefit from both.

An interesting thing I noticed for gestalt druid is that they retain all class features when wildshaped...

A class that grants a template can be fun (dragon disciple for example). Wildshape into a form, then apply half dragon based on your new size for wings and extra natural weapons.

Pumping up the melee side is probably better
than trying to keep up with the other full casters.

Barb 1 / Dungeoncrasher 6 / Ardent 2 / WarMind 5 / ToB 1
... would open most of the basics and some psi goodies.
And lower level recharge too  :)
