@awaken

I actually rolled that with the PHB method x)

The build you suggested can be nice but is not what i had in mind. Tbh i'm quite of a new player ^^ so it will be better to stick to simple things.
That's actually a very simple build. You take one level of Ranger to make getting into Slayer easier. Then it is just Psion and Slayer after that. It will cost you two manifester levels, and unless you actually want to be a fighter/gish, you're probably better off just going straight Psion, IMO.
I don't pee messages into the snow often , but when I do , it's in Cyrillic with Fake Viagra.  Stay frosty my friends.

@mthor:  First, Psionic Mind Blank exists, so you don't care as much about the slayer immunities.  Second, most regular psions will not care about full BAB:  It's nice on a gish, but if you're playing the "caster" psion you don't really care.  Plus, even though you take practiced manifester, you are still a level behind in getting power levels.  It doesn't hurt you as much as a wizard (augmentations hell yeah) but you still are behind a level for persistent timeless body shenanigans, getting true mindswitch or greater metamorphosis, and so on.  Anarchic Initiate I view as one of those "get minor things for free" PrCs like fatespinner or mindbender 1.  Doesn't cost much to enter, get a bit of cool stuff.

IMO, the most powerful Psionic PrC is of course thrallherd due to sacrificing follower silliness, in which all your followers are psions with psychic reformation.  They spend the xp to get their powers into your head, and by swapping psions as needed you can learn every single power in the game.  Oh, and sacrifice low-level believers for dark craft gp and xp, that works too.

You mean Psychic Chirurgury. That's a very high level tactic (19+).

A lower level trick along the same lines is to pick up the power Feat Leech and use it to "steal" an Expanded Knowledge feat from one of your Thralls. You can technically choose what power to pick up with it when you "gain" the feat, although your DM may balk at that idea.

You can also use Metaconcert to gain temporary access to all of your Thralls powers known as well as several of your believers, and access to all of their power points and feats...

For a build abusing the crap out of this kind of stuff (and more!), see Eddie. Which reminds me... I should really copy him over here, as I'd hate to lose him... He was a hell of a lot of work to build...

Shaper is definitely a good choice, and one of the top ones I consider when I am making a psion.  I also like Egoist and Telepath is also very strong, and gives you direct access to psychic chirurgery, so you can expand your power list at high levels.

If you like the character concept of an investigator, don't let not being a seer dissuade you - discipline doesn't really limit that, and a telepath works great as an investigator too, with less of the boring 'I win' buttons that Hypercognition and Metafaculty give the seer, since you have to put together the information you gather on your own.  I have no hesitation in recommending Shaper, Telepath, or Egoist as good discipline choices.
-Do you honestly think that we believe ourselves evil? My friend, we seek only good. It's just that our definitions don't quite match.-

Yes, I believe my friend copied Eddie for a game.  It was an adventure...
