4 of the swordsage's six disciplines include unarmed strike as favoured weapons. Does this include natural attacks?

No. Unarmed Strike refers specifically to the 'unarmed strike' attack option, not to unarmed attacks in general.

Note that the favored weapons have no effect on which maneuvers you can use, they are only useful for the feats in ToB.

+1 to attack rolls is hardly amazing for a 1 level dip..
Note that Claw is a tiger claw weapon though.

Levels >> Feats for the most part. And weapon focus sucks in general.
