His cohorts have wealth. In fact, I bet some of them are EXCELLENT crafters.

And Phaedrus, I still like the kingdom built upon the Tarrasque. Centuries ago there was an epic battle where the Tarrasque was defeated but not killed. The necessity for endless slaughtering of it made way for a powerful magical city that uses its blood and hide to power great magic. Google for it and you'll find the scenario.
I appreciate the logical, cool-headed responses and the lack of profanity displayed by our community.

Awaken the Tarrasque somehow (mad wizardry?) and I'm sure it can acquire treasure somehow. INTELLIGENCE, HO! :D

I love the idea of the Tarrasque taking Leadership and being followed around by a cult of worshippers.  :D This also solves so many of its problems (they could buff it for flight, etc). Of course, it would probably take a penalty due to eating one of them occasionally, but all power comes with a price.  :lmao
Glue them all to the tarrasque, fluff them as body parts or symbiotic quasi-barnacles. :tongue

It's a giant reptile, can we think of something more appropriate? It's certainly not a whale. :P

just give it a burrow speed and make a colony of them (like prarie dogs), a lookout tarrasque alerts the colony of flying threats, at which point they all hide underground

Get as many low ECL high strength flying cohorts as you can and have them cooperatively lift the Tarrasque using their combined strength scores.

Phaedrusxy,  here you go.

Isn't there a creature in the Arms and Equipment Guide that is basically a flying whale?  They even show it being used as a zeppelin.

Mmmm... Tarrasque Zeppelin...

Where's Walternate?

Soarwhales? I can imagine having one of them lift the Tarrasque. Whales and dinosaurs, working together at last!

I was complaining about pseudo-barnacles, though. :P

Yeah, I'd seen that before. It could make a great segway into my idea of a tarrasque-worshipping cult.  :D

The Tarrasque seems pretty good to me.
