Throw-off charm spell
« on: April 11, 2013, 03:04:29 AM »
Hey guys,
I have a malconvoker, and I want to make use of the dolor spell (Drag Mag 336 p78) which increases my charisma check for planar binding.
I'm not going to paste the whole spell here, but I will quote the problem area: "if the result of your opposed charisma check is a natural 1, not only does the creature escape (see the lesser planar binding spell on page 261 of the Player's Handbook), but you are automatically affected for a number of rounds equal to the escaped creature's Hit Dice as if it had successfully cast charm monster on you."

Now, arguably, if I'm immune to mind control, I couldn't use this spell in the first place. So my question is, what can I do to throw off the effect after I'm controlled by a charm spell?

Thanks for that, but my DM doesn't allow B9S. Actually, I got it solved: contingent break enchantment.
