ATTN PhaedrusXY: updating the shou-iaijutsu-swashmaster?

I was browsing through your old build thread on BG and came across this build and must say it looks awesome. You mention that it is based on older material and could be updated. How would you go about doing so rather than swapping a few feats mentioned later in the post?


I made this a post rather than pm so that it could be used for reference for others that may be interested. The original build is the first post in this thread.

Edit: How would you go about making it playable at lower levels; say level five onward?

Well, for almost any melee-build, you're better off adding some martial adept levels. Warblade might fit the bill for this one, since it is somewhat Int-focused. You could also drop the Int focus, and go Swordsage and focus instead on Dex and/or Wisdom. Going for a Dex-based Swordsage should also make it more playable from early levels, I think. Hopefully some other people will chime in. I am very limited in the time I have online lately. Glad you like the build, though. I did too, though I never actually got to play it.

Thanks. I'm thinking of swordsage3/monk2/swashbuckler3/shou disciple5 but really don't know where to go from there. Anybody else have any ideas?

Use the unarmed swordsage adaptation and don't get monk levels. Swordsage AC bonus doesn't stack with the monk's, so you're better off getting better levels.
