A spell that is Evocation and Abjuration is "of the evocation school," it just happens to also be of the abjuration school.  But it is not "an evocation spell" (it's an evocation and abjuration spell).  :)

An Evocation spell is one that is of the Evocation school. :eh

It is indeed "an evocation spell". It explicitly counts as one, even if it also counts as an abjuration spell.
