SpT: Godsblood Spelltheft

   Godsblood Spelltheft

Found this looking back through old notes. Very interesting if you remove the campaign specific caveats.

So what is the best domain for the above mostly straight spellthief (Not master spellthief)?

(Competition, Domination, Force, Limbo, Pride, Spell, Spider, Transformation,  Trickery) all had good points, but I'm favoring Domination for its all levels usefullness. No real need for Divine Power pushes comp and pride down to the bottom of my list. Spell is topped by 3 bad spells (retrain). Transformation might actually have too much polymorph, not enough variety.

I was curious about this - as I read it, Master Spellthief + Godsblood Spelltheft = Domain Casting, limited only by CHA modifier.

You steal a spell from yourself (which you can do, since you can steal from friendly casters), convert it to a domain spell, and cast it.  It doesn't reference your spellthief spellcasting ability anywhere, so I can only assume the level of spell cast is only limited by the level of spell stolen.

Am I reading this right?

Also, I assume the spell is cast using Cha as the spellcasting stat, but is there anything to support that?  Why couldn't it be cast using Int? Or, for that matter, Wis?

Actually, seems a bad feat for master spellthief since one assumes you have a good list of spells. You use your casting stat and levels for the domain spells though.
