I've been stumped by some fluff I'm writing for a species whose hook is their fight to resist losing their humanity and becoming soulless emotionless machines.

But they aren't remotely human.  So what term do I use for "humanity" for other species...

Somehow I like the idea of flipping this idea around. They celebrate there loss of personality by giving those bits of self as gifts to family/friends at certain anniversary dates.

For my 13th name-date I give to you all my lust.
