I can't say for sure, but I'd heard S&S got in trouble for using the D&D logo without permission. (Sword and Sorcery published the first book, too. I own it, and the rest of the pre-WoW line.)

So don't use the logo as an automatic guideline.

I look on the editor's etc page for it to actually say " officially licensed" or if it only has the d20 OGL stuff.

Warcraft does have it being officially licensed, even in the Spanish copy I found

:eh , some people probably should have a license , before they can play with KoK.

... But yeah even I won't touch KoK (or cock) ...

You did want to get the ball rolling.

I was wondering if someone would connect the dots, consistently. I think you've won that title.

You did want to get the ball rolling.
More like bouncing or dangling a couple of times? ;)

Personally, I started looking through it a little closer when I compiled the prestige class index handbook.

Some of the material, like the feat Child of Earth, are quite powerful, but looking at a lot of other "1st level only" feats, it's arguably on par given the restrictions.
A good majority of the prestige classes seemed very uninteresting.

So, I've never seen a complete reason for Kalamar's loss of a license, and a good reason to retroactively disregard those books that were produced with a license.

I can understand not wanting to use them, as the books are obscure to many, that's simply the DMs discretion.
