3.0e Shapechange, for party buffing
« on: December 10, 2013, 05:16:59 PM »
iirc there was an old 3.0e Shapechange list
that used the before 3.5e books only.
Or at least had the book by book dividing line.
But I've lost track of it with all the board changeovers.

Anybody have some good ones for say a CL 20 Shapechange?
More specifically for party buffing, if possible.

You mean this?  It's divided by book, but it is primarily a list of Supernatural abilities, which doesn't help with 3.0 shapechange, as 3.0 shapechange didn't grant you Supernatural abilities, only Extraordinary.

As a (slightly) related question, what's the closest you could get with Wild Shape?

Shifter 10 gets you wild shape at-will (and every creature type except Fey, unless I made a mistake), Master of Many Forms 7 grants you all extraordinary abilities of what you shift into... is there any way to get the Su/Sp other than Assume Supernatural Ability (which kinda sucks, being a feat for one of a specific creature's Su abilities)?

Works for Outsiders and Elementals for one plane... Was hoping for something more general. Thank you, though.

Nevermind, found something. Metamorphic Transfer, from the SRD. The example is metamorphosis, but it works with anything changing your form.

Still only one (Su) per form, and no (Sp), but far better than ASA.

It also requires a manifester level of 5th.  Hard to meet that with a druid focus, unless it's a gestalt game.

1 level of a psionic class plus Practiced Manifester.

It's gestalt, but yes, psiwar + the bonus feat being Practiced Manifester works.

Thanks.  That was what I was thinking, but I also thought it had the (ex) stuff too.
Maybe I'm remembering something different.  Heck I wasn't around for pre-3.5 C.O.

So I'm guessing that all those (ex)s , don't do a whole lot of Party Buffing.
Excepting a little bit of Assume Supernatural Ability feat stuff, since SS is 3.0.
