Reincarnation Question
« on: March 24, 2014, 07:19:48 AM »
I'm wondering if anyone can clarify a question I have about reincarnation or rather reincarnate the spell, "Strength, Dexterity, and
Constitution scores depend partly on the
new body. First eliminate the subject’s
racial adjustments (since it is no longer of
his previous race) and then apply the
adjustments found below to its remaining
ability scores."  being the relative text.  This leads me to believe that you keep the original creatures mental ability boosts/penalties but gain the new creatures physical ability boosts/penalties.  For reference I am looking at originally being a Jermalaine from MM II, with its -8 str, +6 Dex, -2 con, -2 int, +6 wis, and -6 cha.  If I then reicarnate as say an Orc I should have: +4 Str,(from the orc) and -2 int, +6 Wis, and -6 cha (from the original race Jermalaine)

If anyone could clarify whether I am right or wrong that would be great, thanks guys.  :)
