PF wizard high initiative
« on: March 30, 2014, 04:56:49 PM »
Starting a new campaign at level 1 and trying to maximize my initiative. Stats are Str:7 Dex:16 Con:10 Int:20 Wis:12 Cha:7. I'm an elf with the fleet alternate race trait. I have reactionary a green sting Scorpion improved initiative and Divination as school specialization. My initiative total is currently 16 and I was wondering if there was any other way top increase my initiative at level one.

If you are in a ship-based campaign, the Corsair feat could be added.

Play an ifrit and pick up their Wildfire Heart ability - +4 initiative as opposed to the elf's +2. Also, you probably can't afford it right out of the gate, but the cracked prism dusty rose ioun stone is only 500gp for another +1.

How much initiative do you need?  You're probably going first for the first 10 or so levels of your career.

Not sure if the Eager Shuriken trick is still valid in Pathfinder (or allowed by DM), but if it is, holding one of those gives another nice initiative boost.

I need all the initiative. If my initiative isn't maxed I'm not satisfied. My initiative will increase as my level does also from being a diviner. I'll also get a plus dex item so that'll be an extra 3 later and by levels at ten diviner will give me +5.  So all in all my initiative should stay decently high. Our cleric also has the domain power that lets one ally reroll an initiative check. I'll be buying items to give me more initiative checks as I level but for now I'm not satisfied.

Nerveskitter is a 3.5 Wiz1 spell for +5 initiative.  See Spell Compendium.

That's nice but sadly campaign is pathfinder only. DM is a b*tch
