maneuver master can use any weapon that is associated with a special maneuver? That's what I'm reading. Downside, doesn't stack w Many Forms
No, he can use any weapon. Sort of. The faq says that Sunder, Disarm, and Trip are the only maneuvers that "normally" use a weapon. It also makes clear that a weapon does
not need the special quality to be used - you can make a trip or disarm attempt with a greatsword, if you'd like. Other maneuvers don't usually use a weapon unless some other ability unlocks it (there are rage powers that allow a bull rush on hit, the Mancatcher is a weapon that specifically can be used as a grapple, and Dirty Trick requires GM arbitration to decide how it's being used - though it makes perfect sense to me to use a sword to cut someone's belt and entangle them in dropped trousers)(There are other ways that escape me at the moment, and of course there's rule 0 - convince the GM that a weapon that can hook a sword for a Disarm can also hook clothing for a Drag or Reposition.)
Oh, it's easy to miss in the SRDs online, but don't forget the
Eastern Weapons page, there are a few more Monk weapons there that may suit.
