Lemure

HD:d8
LevelBABFortRefWillFeature
1 +1+2+2+2Pathetic Body, Hell Slave, I Have A Mouth And I Can't Scream, Bottom of the Pit, Infernal Promotion
Class skills (2+Int, quadruple at 1st level): A Lemure has no Class skills.

Proficiencies: A Lemure is only proficient with its own natural weapons.

Features:

Pathetic Body: The lemure loses all of its previous traits and instead gains outsider traits (basically darkvision 60 feet). It is a medium sized outsider with base speed 20 feet and two natural claw attacks each dealing damage equal to 1d4+Str mod.

In addition it gains a bonus to nat armor equal to its Con mod, but can't speak.

Hell Slave: Lemures crave revenge against the universe, refusing to admit it's their own faul that they're in their current sad state . The Lemure gains the [Lawful] and [Evil] subtypes, its attacks count as those alignments for bypassing DR and it may attack with both claws as a standard action whitout penalty.

I Have A Mouth And I Can't Scream:Lemures are the lowest ranking devils of all, being bullied, abused and trampled over by basically everybody else, yet unable to cry in any form due to their too-soft vocal cords. It is said if lemures could scream out their agony out, the 9 Hells themselves would shatter with the resulting cacophany, but as it is they can just endure their suffering with simple moans. As a swift action the Lemure may grant itself immunity against Fire and Poison, resistance to Acid 10 and Cold 10, the ability to see perfectly in darkness of any kind, DR 5/good or silver and telepathy 100 feet, all of those for 1 round.

Bottom of the Pit: A lemure is “born” from the remains of a soul condemned into hell, after it has been  drained of all of its power and memories. It is is immune to all mind affecting effects, but can never count any skill as a class skill or gain weapon proficiencies.

In addition it gains Regeneration 1, which can be bypassed by coup-de-graces.

Infernal Promotion: When you can't fall anymore, may as well start climbinb back up. A lemure who gains enough exp to gain a level must undergo a transformation into a devil of higher rank. Build a new character from scratch with the same number of HD and as many levels in the next rank's monster class as possible; these stats permanently replace your original stats, except you gain this ability again when you complete your new devil class, allowing you to change into a new rank. Only the first change is mandatory, you can choose to don't "promote" yourself into new devil ranks once you're not a lowly Lemure anymore.

Lemure->Imp->
Chain Devil->
Harvester Devil->
Bone Devil->
Malebranche->
Assassin Devil->
Ice Devil->
Pit Fiend

In alternative, the lemure may be promoted into an Abishai and from there into a Chain Devil, following the ranks as normal.

I don't know... even with the drawbacks, I think this could get crazy due to all the abilities it gets if you multiclass into something that doesn't care about the drawbacks. What if I went Grell 3/Lemure 1 with the Monster Hybrid feat (not necessarily in that order)?

If I'm interpreting how Monster Hybrid works (which I might not be), I'd have 13 natural attacks (with constrict+paralysis), large size with a racial grapple bonus; immunities to Mind-Affecting, Fire, poison, Electricity, and Paralysis; some resistances, flight, damage reduction, regeneration, telepathy, see in all darkness (not sure how this interacts with Sightless from grell), blindsight and... probably some things I missed. All at 4th level.
I don't pee messages into the snow often , but when I do , it's in Cyrillic with Fake Viagra.  Stay frosty my friends.

Maybe modify Infernal Promotion so that it's automatic, and lemures can't multiclass?

As for the ranks not matching up in terms of power... I'd imagine that imps are more likely to have class levels than bearded devils are (and devils value cunning more than brute force). The way things work in FC2, erinyes do have special status as fallen angels, but they can still be promoted/demoted into another kind of devil (after which they can never return to their original forms).

Infernal promotion changed to automatic, and shuffled around the ranks to match the original as best as possible. Will come back here to add other devils to the ranks as they get done.

Infernal promotion changed to automatic
Currently it's automatic for all forms though.

The link to Malebranche is broken, and the link to Assassin Devil redirects to Ice Devil.
The Paladin Code: Detect Evil, Smite it, ask questions later.

Also, the Ice Devil has more HD than Assassin Devil. Wouldn't it be instant promotion from assassin devil to pit fiend afterwards?

Fixed, thanks.

After watching these boards for a few years, I have to say ... it is just ridiculously nuts how much better edited this material is getting than stuff out of the books ... :p
