Dual progression classes are specifically banned in gestalt.
Actually, the gestalt rules advise banning dual progression classes... they don't explicitly ban them. It's up the the DM to decide if they are banned in their gestalt game or not. They do give a distinctive advantage over single progression classes in gestalt though... I'm sure most DMs would ban them in gestalt for this reason though.

Quote from: d20srd Gestalt Characters
A gestalt character can’t combine two prestige classes at any level, although it’s okay to combine a prestige class and a regular class. Prestige classes that are essentially class combinations-such as the arcane trickster, mystic theurge, and eldritch knight-should be prohibited if you’re using gestalt classes, because they unduly complicate the game balance of what’s already a high-powered variant. Because it’s possible for gestalt characters to qualify for prestige classes earlier than normal, the game master is entirely justified in toughening the prerequisites of a prestige class so it’s available only after 5th level, even for gestalt characters.

As you can see the rules leave it up to the DM to decide if dual progression classes are permitted.

lol split hairs much? It's an optional rule from a book on optional rules, and it says they should be banned. Like everything else in the book though... it's optional! :P :lmao

The 3rd party thing ... so an Str Wizard and the 3.0e Psion Str fester, cheesy early entry(s), goes into Mind Mage and Cerebremancer, snags recharge and 2 Dr#349 cheeses too.  Niice with all those str boosters (a little thin on the psi side for my tastes, but still = kaboom).

While it might be a stretch, did anyone else just picture Broly?

No.

Broli, or any other DBZer, doesn't cast Spells. He blasts stuff. And not with lightning, fire, sonic, or acid, but Ki bombs and beams.

GitP's host, Richard, has a nice Class that works out ok. It still has spells but mildly and it has a built in supermode that obtains +24 to Str, flight, DR/SR, and so on. Link

Edit - Interestingly, the Avatar has a number of multi-class related Feats. Dip Champion once and any Sorcerer or Wizard can once per day transform for +23 to their casting Stat. Monk stacks too (woot!).
