Summoner idea (help please)

So I want to build a summoner with a huge sized snake that swallows whole...

Now the 2 reasons swallow whole isn't normally the best is because...
1. It requires a high cmb and you have to be bigger that the enemy
2. It's easy as fuq to get out of, just stab the things insides.

So to handle number 1 I will just make my snake huge size(Mabey colossal)
For number 2 I can just disarm them!

So this is what I need help with(please don't post the normal multi classing summoners are bad)
What class or feats will help with tripping/ being a front linner.
What feats/spells/items help with bite damage(swallow whole does bite damage... Including poisons on the bite. I don't think it uses precise damage from things like vital strike though?)

So the snake eats the enemy then burrows underground(if the enemy escapes by beating your cmd it's underground suffocating)
Then you move on to he next enemy and repeat.

(I can't remember the name. But I remember there's a feat that adds breath weapon damage to a bite.)

DM changed his mind to path and 3.5 but said not to go overboard... How much is overboard??? Colosal++++ bite damage?

Overboard means different things to different people, but do try to have an idea of what would be reasonable compared to other party members.

Given the things you'd have to work with to get swallow whole to be regularly useful and all that...  It might not be a good path to go down.  Sure it's a fun idea, but the mechanics of it likely won't work as well as you're hoping they do.

Are you summoning the snake (via Summon Monster or some such)?  It's a little unclear where you're planning on getting the snake from.  You could always go Druid, and just BE the snake.

As far as Tripping goes, you could try to optimize Bigby's Tripping Hand, but tripping as a combat maneuver suffers from all kinds of issues (size, # of feet, etc.).  Again, go Druid & summon wolves if you want to trip.

Why have your pet eat people when you could do it yourself?

Did I never tell you guys about "Hungry Jack"? He was a human rogue, who took his 10th level bonus feat as "Gape of the Serpent" - which is totally legal because he can take any feat he wants and doesn't have to meet prereqs as it is a bonus feat.

So he ran around eating people, which was totally awesome. Truly a great character. Not overpowered, not even really all that good. But it made for a great intro to intimidate checks.
