As the thread title indicates I am wondering about the following:
Assuming I play a Pathfinder sorcerer with the arcane bloodline, then by level 11 using the robe of arcane heritage I will get a +2 to DCs for spells of a school of my choice. Combining that with Spell Focus and Greater Spell Focus for that school, plus the Persistent Spell feat combined with the bloodline's bloodline arcana would already sum up to a nice +5 on save DCs for that school.
Which makes me wonder:
- Is there a better way to build an SoL arcane caster?
- Which school is the best choice?
Ideally it woudl be one which offers good SoL/SoD spells that target different saving throws. Good candidates often mentioned seem to be Baleful Polymorph and Flesh to Stone which would point towards Transmutation, however like the majority of SoL spells they target Fortitude which is the highest saving trow for most monsters which in turn makes me wonder if that would really be a good choice.
There is Dominate Person targetting the Will save, and it is a very powerful effect, albeit with a limited selection of viable targets. - What other practical ways to boost the DC of ones spells is outh there? Spell Perfection comes to mind, and of course Heighten spell and boosting your main casting attribute, but besides that?
Any recommendations the more experienced players on this forum could give?
