Caster Build (Sketch):
Classes: Animated Object 10/ God 10 (progressing casting)
  • Objective Object: Elegant, Hard, Religious Relic, Small, Manipulation, War Machine, Custom, Clever Construction, Impressive
  • Over Object: Sacred Relic, Shrug Off
  • Optimal Object: Holy Relic, (4 extra objective object)
  • Outstanding Object: Divine Relic, (1 optimal object, 1 over object, 2 objective object = extra domain)
  • Omega Object: Godly Relic
Feats:
  • Apprentice (UMD) --> Master
  • Ancestral Relic
  • Heretic of the Faith or Customize Domain (Get the spell "Substitute Domain" on the lower domain)
  • Heretic of the Faith or Customize Domain (Customizable, substitutable domain for primary domain)
  • Initiate of Mystra
  • Supernatural Transformation
  • Reserves of Strength
Perks
  • Holy Relic --> 2nd level domain spell (Heretic or Customize Domain) --> Substitute domain, castable 1/minute.  Allows primary domain to be swapped every minute
  • Feats --> Cast in dead magic zone as SU ability without CL caps
  • Ancestral Relic --> buff self as caster with 100% GP efficiency
  • Apprentice for UMD, combined with Impressive for massive bonuses
  • Doesn't take size increases & miniaturization & elegant & small--> Huge Str (+24), fine size, few disadvantages
  • Hard, Shrug Off, God 10 --> incredibly tough

Substitute Domain Spell for flexibility!!!  Casts as SLA (~free still, silent, and standard casting if longer) Useful specializations.
  • Summoning -> standard action casting, super flexible, benefits from "never running out"
  • Oracle -> standard action casting, benefits from "never running out"
  • Generic Casting (Anyspell, Miracle)
  • Shadow

Best,
David

P.S.  A custom domain based on Heretic of the Faith or Customize Domain
Domain:  Overlord
Strength Domain Power (+CL to Str 1 round 1/day)
0. Guidance
1. Improvisation
2. Guidance of the Avatar
3. Anyspell
4. Shadow Conjuration ?
5. Surge of Fortune
6. Anyspell, Greater --> (Mule's Enlightenment)
7. Limited Wish
8. Moment of Precience or (Unfettered Heroism?)
9. Mircale

Added siege engine chain along some others.

Also I have no idea where I'm getting half my recent respect but I won't complain.

Caster Build (Sketch):

Initiate of Mystra
Supernatural Transformation
Reserves of Strength

...
Geez, if you're using that amount of cheese feats, can you reall claim it's the class's power anymore? :eh

I'll just point out that the srd says a spell-like ability "takes the same amount of time to complete as the spell that it mimics (usually 1 standard action) unless otherwise stated. "

I only recently realized that the respect came from the upvote button.  I owe you big ... you've done so much cool stuff!

Ah.  You're right.  That's too bad!  Yet another reason for supernatural transformation :p.  Particularly in the case of an oracle ... not even that overpowered for oracle, but so cool!

Box / Carrier / Home -> Very cool.  (Take the landlord feat!).  Titanic creature for a floating castle.

Best,
David

P.S.  From a summoning handbook: "It has also been brought to my attention that Rules Compendium changed the rules on spell-like ability casting times.  Any spell-like ability with a casting time greater than one standard action is, according to the entry on page 118 of the Rules Compendium, reduced to a 1 standard action casting time, unless specifically noted in the entry.  Some of my comments on high casting time spells therefore don't apply, and will be edited relatively soon."

Animated Object, Illurien, Yuki-On-Na. I had though I had already put Respect for those creations you had done for me but had noticed that I had forgotten.

Good job with the Siege series! I actually like the boat one too. The House series is nice as well.

Home-You need Box to pick this. Creatures inside benefit from extra confort and safety, gaining an extra +4 to AC and all saves even when you "open" yourself to let them peek outside. You can receive enhancements as if you were a building.

How does "enhancements as a building" relate to things like the way you set HP or Hardness for buildings?  What about things that let buildings fly (I'm tempted to say "ok", costs GP).

I think it is a super-cool idea, so I think you should leave it.  I just don't know how it would work out.
* Maybe anything as long as it it doesn't relate to the material of the building?  (Which is handled by fluff)?  Explicitly forbid the landlord feat?
* Maybe allow the landlord feat as an Outstanding Object Pick?  (Even give the feat as part of the pick)
* Could allow anything as an Omega Object Pick, including the way materials change stats?  That would mean that at this level it would be easy to get huge HP & Hardness, but if that is your omega object pick, probably ok ....

How do you think this should be handled?

Best,
David

Oh, just noticed:

Looks good now. Should the anthropomorphic animal use the same Extra Option feat progression system since they are similar? Right now it can skip right to the last ability tier.

Only if they actually already took all AA levels.
That is actually not true as is. It can take any ability it has access to. Some monster classes require all the levels to be taken but not the AA.

Your suggestions sound good. Limited Home to not Lanlord nor special materials, and then made the Fortress Neo Object ability that grants Landlord and being built of another material for extra hardness, but demands Stupidly Hard besides Home to be chosen.

Yes, that's what I meant. The AA can't gain the top abilities with an extra feat until at least 5 AA levels are taken. And then the AA is just 6 levels long, so its top abilities are still weaker than the top AO abilities.

Something I just noticed. The Animated Object has access to arsenal/pilot maneuvers/super pilot upgrades abilities starting at first level but the ability that clearly states that it can take pilot feats is the one available starting at 4th level that grants access to a spirit.
At 4th level, the normal next level it will have access to those pilot feats will be the 6th. Which would normally delay the acquisition of a tactical feat for one of its maneuvers until 9th level.
Having a class ability that grants pilot maneuvers and a pilot level attached to it doesn't feel like it suffices to qualify as a pilot class for the purpose of selecting pilots until that soul ability at fourth level. Shouldn't it have access to those feats as soon as it gets pilot maneuvers+energy?

Also, "Its PL is equal to its Animated Object level". Just wondering if the fact that it doesn't get the usual half PL progression from non-animated object levels is intended.

Changed the Artificial Soul to allow you to retrain a couple feats for Pilot ones.

Added the half other levels to PL clause.
