Standard Rogue or Feat Rogue?
« on: March 06, 2017, 09:10:30 PM »
Assuming you plan to multiclass and the classes you go through won't progress sneak attack, which would be more beneficial in the long run?
a 1d6 sneak attack die fueled by the craven feat, or the bonus feats?

how many rogues levels are you planning on taking?

just one?

Id say at <=4 leans to feat rogue, 3 feats vs 2?d6?

I think the makeup of the feat rouge is great for a brush with dipping, but regular rouge is a more versatile base.

They both make an excellent foundation.

Standard Rouge depends on how well you apply the combat make-up.
Martial Rouge puts quite tasty lipstick on the Fighter pig.

I like the responces, But they seem kind of vauge. If you dont mind me going into detail

The idea of the builds is Rogue 2/Bard 5/Uncanny Trickster 3 Which would segway into sublime chord.

What you would get out of this is
up to 3rd levels of spell-casting,bard features up to level 7 and a lot of skill points to work with. (Practiced spellcaster would make up the missing caster levels)
What i cant decide on is whether I want the sneak attack die or the bonus feats, because while the bonus feats would give me more versatility, My damage would basically be non existent without sneak attack

So which would be better in the context of this build?

They are being detailed! Just not about what you think. Once you understand, you will really blush. I'm almost red-faced at what kind of sneaky rogues aDMg and Solo are being right now, not showing their true couleurs. they shouldn't makeup these kinds of jokes, because once a person gets them it can leave more than cosmetic damage.

Putting the UT on the Rogue side, would keep you from getting to 3rd level spells, meaning you wouldn't qualify for SubChord anymore.
You'd have to have a rather large change in the build, to do that.

Taking the UT variant  just to get Bonus Feats, is that what you what to do?

No i mean starting out with feat rogue to get bonus feats and then using uncanny trickster to progress bard...the only problem with that us that A the damage would be non existent and B i wouldn't have much of a way to "assassinate" people....but that got me thinking...How expensive would it be to use poison as opposed to sneak attack?

Well if you dont have a pet to extract poison from or a spell like Major Creation available the price per use of poison can skyrocket. And of course the DCs can be pretty low and there are plenty of monsters immune. You also have to reapply poison every attack usually.
Im really bad at what I do.
A+
