Fey'ri
« on: March 10, 2020, 06:05:58 AM »
Once upon a time I had come up with a character using the "fey'ri" as the bases for my mage. The unique thing about her was that she was a "balnorn" after much progression. She was a full 20 level warlock / 1 level mind bender / 3 level swashbuckler. My question is simple, is this a class that grants "a lich like template" minus the level adjustment or is it just a pure level adjustment? I'd gave her the lesser native outsider / undying type. I feel plus 2 is enough on the level adjustment. So whatever she misses on not claiming all of her power from birth she'd more than make up with turning into a balenorn. Truely savage, hence her chaotic neutral nature. I'm believing she'll need to take practiced spell caster to take advantage of her warlock levels also to satisfy the lich requirements. Question, what type of armor would best fit her? Also, would you give her a rapier or a whip? Or why not one of each? She's game. Please hit me up if you've for any ideas.

Fey'ri are LA +2.
Normally that would be gone via LA buy-off by level 24.

The Lich racial progression is LA +4, which combines with the fey're la = complicated.

Altogether you're talking about roughly a level 30 PC.
Armor barely matters up there, and lich has goodies anyway.
Rapier or Whip xor Neither = none.

"Truely savage, hence her chaotic neutral nature."
CN are or can be some of the nicest people ever, and if you've ever been clocked upside the head by a Modron ...

Sandstorm Page 89, Walker in the Waste gives Dry Lich (pg 157, gets Unholy Toughness and Fast Healing too.) with two lost caster levels.  But it probably needs Cleric 3 to qualify.
