Is there a reason PHB spells aren't included?  I started to type up a list, but want to make sure I'm not wasting my time first.

Tricks:

A solar has permanency as a spell-like ability 3/day.  Gate 1 in, and get 3 spells permanentacized.  He also has Wish as a SLA 1/day, so that could be used as a 4th permanency, or as a spell to be permanentacized.  And Miracle is on his spell list, so that could also duplicate a spell to be made permanent.

Can you use Thought Bottle to get around the XP loss?  What other ways are there to get around the XP loss (besides buying a scroll/staff)

Dispelling Permanency is dependant on caster level.  So jack your caster level up through the roof before casting.  I'm tempted to say this is so important and has so many methods, that ways to raise your CL deserves it's own section, but in truth, it's so useful, it deserves its own handbook.  <hint, hint>

I looked at the original thread on the wayback machine.  They weren't included just because he didn't want to take the time to type them up - he even welcomed someone else doing it, but apparently no one did.  So here they are:

Can you note in the handbook which spells use the psionic power Incarnate to become permanent?  My DM doesn't use the psionics=magic.

For easy reference, the powers listed under Incarnate (XPH-90) are

DISTRACTING SHADOWS
 Evocation [Darkness]
 Level: Bard 1, sorcerer/wizard 1
 Components: V, M
 Casting Time: 1 standard action
 Range: Touch
 Target: Object touched
 Duration: 24 hours (D)
 Saving Throw: None
 Spell Resistance: No
 This spell causes an object to radiate distracting shadows in a 10-foot-radius spread. Casual scrutiny of an affected area doesn’t reveal anything out of the ordinary; however, cracks, crannies, corners, hidden traps, and secret entrances or exits within the area become harder to spot.

 Creatures within the area or looking into it are subliminally confused by the distracting shadows, and take a –5 penalty on all Spot and Search checks. However, the shadows do not provide sufficient concealment for a creature to make a Hide check.

 Distracting shadows counters or dispels any light or darkness spell of equal or lower level.

 Distracting shadows can be made permanent with a permanency spell (minimum caster level 10th; cost 1,000 XP)
