Buried in one of my old notes somewhere I've got a pet build that gets about +60 to grapple at level 12 with only moderate optimization. It went something like: Warforged Cleric 3/Totemist 2/Landforged Walker 5/Sapphire Hierarch X.

Probably not quite what you're looking for though.
