A planar pioneer is a planeswalker who has traveled far and wide, becoming much more versatile in his planar nodes.
BECOMING A PLANAR PIONEER A Planar Pioneer begins his career as a Planeswalker.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Feats: Deactivate Node.
Special: Access to one outer planar node, one inner planar node, and one transitive planar node.

Weapon and Armor Proficiencies: A planar pioneer gains no new weapon or armor proficiencies.
Planar attunement bonus: At each planar pioneer level, a planar pioneer's planar attunement ability improves as if he had also gained a level in the planeswalker class. He gains the indicated increase to her effective planeswalker level for the purpose of determining his bonus on attunement checks and the node abilities he can activate. He does not, however, increase the number of nodes he has access to, or any other benefit a planeswalker would have gained.
Varied access: A planar pioneer acquires a new node at every planar pioneer level. He may choose outer, inner, or transitive planar nodes.
Threnody: A planar pioneer can attune to one inner planar node, one outer planar node, and one transitive node simultaneously.
Harmonic adaptability (Su): At 2nd level, a planar pioneer gains the ability adapt his abilities to changing situations. Once per day while using his threnody ability, he may spend a full-round action to change his attuned nodes, as if using the Deactivate Node feat on all three nodes simultaneously. He gains an additional daily use of this ability at 4th, 7th, and 9th level.
Harmonic resonance (Su): Whenever a planar pioneer of 3rd level or higher uses his threnody ability, the resonance between his nodes increases their potency. Increase the DC for any ability granted by his nodes by +1.
Harmonic protection (Su): Beginning at 5th level, whenever a planar pioneer uses his threnody ability, the harmony between his nodes grants him a measure of protection from magical effects that would otherwise control or compel him. If the pioneer is affected by an enchantment spell or effect and fails his saving throw, he can attempt it again 1 round later at the same DC. He gets only this one extra chance to succeed on her saving throw.
Improved harmonic resonance: At 6th level, the bonus to save DC granted by a planar pioneer's harmonic resonance increases to +2.
Harmonic aura (Su): Starting at 8th level, a planar pioneer's harmonic protection ability applies to all allies within 30 feet.
True harmony (Su): Upon reaching 10th level, a planar pioneer is in perfect harmony with his nodes. Whenever he successfully makes an attunement check, he gains a cumulative +1 bonus to all attacks, skill checks, and saves for 1 hour, to a maximum bonus of +10.
