Just tried it.

18,16,14,14,12,12,12,12
18,18,16,16,14,14,12,12
18,16,16,14,12,12,12,10
18,16,16,12,12,12,12,12
18,14,14,12,12,12,12,12

As it seems it tends to be higher then a usual 32 point buy. Basic reason for that is that 12 is the most common card.

I recently started playing with 2d6 + 6 and I have been rolling equal to 22 point buy on average, though I think I'm going to bump it up to be closer to 32 point buy

Well, I never claimed it was perfect, but it's a change of pace. Plus the carrott of an extra feat, I feel, will get people to try it.
