3.5 stuff that came back in a different incarnation in PF
« on: March 07, 2012, 01:20:59 AM »
Things that we know from 3.5, but in PF they are renamed, slightly changed, or changed entirely. also things that were class features but became feats or vice versa.

I'll start:
Turn Undead became a feat.
Spellsong is something like a Disguise Spell and lesser Melodic Casting, but it uses up your bardic performance rounds. (I vaguely remember seeing somewhere someone saying that in PF Bards can use items and perform as a basic rule, can someone confirm this?)
Raging Vitality gives us back raging when unconscious and a minor boost to Con.
Lighten Weapon is like Monkey Grip, but less vague.
Magic is for weaklings.

Alucard: "*snif snif* Huh? Suddenly it reeks of hypocrisy in here. Oh, if it isn't the Catholic Church. And what's this? No little Timmy glued to your crotch. Progress!"

See the totally new class the Duskbl... Magus!

Pathfinder has Roblars Gambit as a rage power. Another rage power that looks familiar is the worse version of Thicket of Blades.

Mage Slayer and Stand Still both make appearances but who would of guessed that the good martial feats in pathfinder got nerfed?

Atleast Energy Subistution got nerfed right? Every spellcaster used that!

Persistent Spell is back, by name, but completely different function.  Both are very good.

Far Shot was nerfed badly.  Cause it was overpowered.

Manyshot is now just another attack on your rapid shot.

All the Improved maneuver feats now have a "greater" version you need for the full benefits.

Reckless Abandon rage power is similar to the Heedless Rush of Stormtrooper tactical feat.

Greater Beast Totem rage power is basically Lion Spirit Totem 9 levels late, with effectively 2 feat pre-reqs, and only while raging.

Pin Down is used more like 3E Stand Still was, but is 11th+ level fighter only.

Synthesist Summoner is reminiscent of the 3E druid, where you could sack your physical stats and just be in a different form all day.

Zen Archer Monk basically gets the 3E Zen Archery feat.  Clerics can take Guided Hand feat to simulate Zen Archery feat, Intuitive Attack feat, etc...

Rhino Charge is a mix of Cometary Collision and Boots of the Battle Charger.

Enforcer and Cornugon Smash are similar to Intimidating Strike.

Lingering Performance is like Lingering Song, but only 2 rounds instead of 5, and if you start a new song the effects immediately end from the lingering performance.

Dimensional Dervish and its related feats are basically shadow pouncing, albeit not nearly as powerful.
