What would a transportable portal cost (approximately)?

Ring gates are what, 15k or so? Add in a portable hole for anyone that can't fit through normally for another 20k. Also serves as an easy way to transport said portal.

40k and they're only 18 inches across.

Hmm, a bit more expensive than I thought. The Portable Hole makes size a non-issue, though, if you aren't in a rush and there's more than one person. Just have one person get in the hole. The second one picks up the hole, reaches through the gate, and opens the hole on the other side. First person gets out, passes the hole back, second person gets in it, first one picks up the hole and carries it back across, and all is well.
