I remember stumbling over a feat or an alternate class feature or something for a Cleric that allowed for the swapping out of spells in a domain for ones that you choose, but are similar thematically. Not sure where I saw it, or even if it was from WotC or a third party publisher. I did spend some time reading over my collection of Feat books.
