I need ways to increase my natural reach or threat range for melee. So far I've found this things:
- Giant template
- Combat Patrol
- Inhuman Reach
- Lunge==>Monkey Lunge
- Monstrous Physique
- Lunging Strike
- Burning Brand maneuver
- Dancing Blade Form stance
Right now I'm looking at a natural reach of 35 ft. (40 ft. but with only one attack), 50-55 ft. threat range thanks to Combat Patrol.

I also need ways to add more attacks with his one and only weapon.

Things you need to know:
- the NPC I'm making is human and he will be 20th level (possibly gestalt)
- his shtick is supposed to be enormous range and lots of attacks
- no magic items
- no spells/psionics (he's supposed to be a "mundane" meleer)
- his weapon is a greatsword (fluffed as a katana)
Magic is for weaklings.

Too monstrous, and the NPC fights with a sword, not tentacles. Also no spells.

So? Are you telling me a monk can't fight with swords?  Not every monk needs to fit the unarmed zen master stereotype perfectly......

Again, so?  You're trying to get more reach than an average huge creature, right?

Also, consider switching your weapon for Spinning Sword (Secrets of Sarlona) it has reach, thus doubling your reach and is still mostly a sword.

No. Serpent Fang works only with unarmed strikes or monk weapons. A greatsword isn't an unarmed strike or monk weapon, unless there's a feat that makes it one. Or I might give him a gargantuan longsword and the Lighten Weapon feat, but then it's another feat slot used and he's going to have a penalty to attack.

It's too different then what I need. I need a normal looking sword that can be fluffed as a katana. Spinning sword is too weird looking.
And I know that I'm asking for optimizing his reach, but doubling his already impressive reach would be overkill.
