Phantom Battle allows a Will save to negate the effects of the illusion, but the illusion doesn't actually harm those within it (just prevents them from taking AoO's and makes them considered flanked).
Legion of Sentinels doesn't allow a save, and attacks are only made if those within provoke AoO's.

Would casting these spells break the invisibility upon a beguiler who cast them?

Yes.  General rule of thumb: if it has a direct effect on an enemy, it is probably considered an attack.
What do I win?
An awesome-five for mentioning Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness.
