The lore ability:

1 "The loremaster adds her level and intelligence..."   Her loremaster level or her character level?

2 Can the "collector of stories" skill trick be applied to loremaster lore checks?

1) As Lore functions "just like Bardic Knowledge", it is class level + modifier, just as Bardic Knowledge is bard level + int.

2) Nope. Collector of Stories gives you a bonus to knowledge skill checks made to identify monsters, and Lore/Bardic Knowledge is not a skill. However, as Lore and Bardic music is virtually equivalent, things that modify Bardic Knowledge should also modify Lore. 5 ranks in Knowledge: History would thus give you a +2 synergy bonus to your Lore check.

If you are going for a high bardic knowledge, dip at least 1 in paragnostic apostle. Their lore check = 2*([bard level]+[PA level])+int. mod. +1d20
That means that if you have class levels in only bard and paragnostic apostle, it is double your level.
