monk bonus feats

I've heard, well, read, that if a monk with the martial monk acf from dragon magazine can take any fighter feat, even if he doesn't have the prerequisites for the feat. My question, is this true?

It's up for interpretation.  The text in the magazine says "Gain: Fighter bonus feat list to choose monk bonus feats (at 1st, 2nd, and 6th level)"

I believe the intention is they'd need to qualify normally, but the description of a monk's bonus feat effectively says they do not need to qualify for the prerequisites of any such feats noted.  Thus the interaction is since all fighter bonus feats are now monk bonus feats, no prerequisites are necessary.  A DM has full power to call BS on it of course.

Well, yeah, everything is subject to what the Dm will actually let you get away with. I just thought I'd check to make sure I was following it correctly before I went to the dm asking for ranged weapon supremacy and idk what else. Thanks

Thanks for the link, and yeah, the min/max boards haven't failed me yet. I'll probably throw a new topic up there for my soulbow build, between martial monk and  jumping through hoops to get a bunch of stuff on a level of ranger, i have a lot of options I didnt think about when I build the character.
