Two or three levels in Urban Ranger can be useful.

Man this is even more board than the last thread I commented on. Please start at the Rogue Handbook to form an idea of what you want to play and we'll help you make it stronger, faster, we have the technology.

What's the rest of your party like?  What's the campaign like?  In a party of well-played casters, a rogue can have trouble keeping up.  What do you like about the rogue?  Flavor, a particular mechanic?  A party niche?

EDIT: In general, refer to this for a guide on how to get answers to the questions that you want.  What you have now is extremely vague and hard to answer.

This says absolutely nothing. What do you expect us to do?
You need ideas on the kind of rogue? Or for specific builds? Do you know anything about your campaign (i.e. powerlevel)?
Maybe you think if you want...
-a roguish caster (divine, arcane, psinic...)
-a melee sneak attacker
-a ranged sneak attacker
-an allrounder
-a skill monkey

Play factotum.  Can do everything the rogue can,  but better.

The untold secret of precision-damage-users is: *drum roll* ... natural attacks.

Forget two weapon fighting. Go changeling rogue/warshaper and go to town.

Trivia: That is the main gimmick for my unfinished rogue handbook.

:fix:

Seriously, that is what makes rogues playable.

More on topic: Go Factotum. Seriously, it is everything a rogue is, but good, plus a lot of nice toys. Can't go wrong with it.

I can still see Rogue being useful.

Rogues do have Craven and Maiming Strike in their favor, plus in their role nich their Skill Points cover everything where the Factotum waits until 3rd level for his Int to catch him up and hopefully start to surpass to Rogue. Then of course, the fact that the Factotum plays off like a Spellcaster (one of the reasons it is better than the rogue) the more levels it obtains is kind of a huge nix if you're wanting to play a mundane. Which goes back to what does the OP want? Rogue like he mentioned, Lesser_Rogue+Spells, maybe just a stealthy addon to a spellcaster? Or something unexpected, like a dandelion pirate king of sugartop town.

I'm with Soro on this one.  Rogue can definitely be useful (I believe I've proven that in the past), you just need to know the tricks (proper Ambush feats are good for more than just damage).

Precision damage users are a superset of rogues. And not all of them get UMD. Plus, UMD is usually useful for utility, while natural attacks are only useful for multiplying your precision damage dice.
