Dragonwrought Kobold Breath Master
« on: September 19, 2012, 08:54:46 PM »
So I have been playing a Xorvintaal Wyrm of War Sovereign White Dragonspawn Brass Dragonwought Kobold Dragonfire Adept 12 / Green Dragon Shaman 4 known as Tiburdarastrix (and his alias Irthos the Unslain).
Oh I know, this is some pretty cheesy crap Race wise, and originally was intended to be a bit of a joke as the game was originally supposed to be a one shot. But as it turned out, I ended up developing a backstory for the character and campaign arching goals, and the campaign which was originally going to be a one shot in between another ended up taking up a life of its own, and quite honestly Tiburdarstrix has become one of the most invested characters I have played to date.

So currently, my character is Lv16 (LA Buyoff), soon to be Lv17. After one of our last fights with some Blackscale Lizardfolk who my Kobold nation and other peoples have declared war on, and we substantially had to fight a Quasi Divine Rank 0 Creature from a minor plane of fire and chaos, I felt it was time to revamp my character a little bit, seeing as how we are staring to fight some pretty powerful creatures, on top of the CR 20+ creatures we have been contending with for the last few levels.

My build is set until Lv20 when I hit Dragonfire Adept 16, getting a Dark Invocation and Fivefold Breath of Tiamat. im not
exactly sure ehich route I should go after this though. As a Xorvintaal Dragon, I cannot cast spells. I have four paths in mind.
One would be Binder, getting access to some useful vestiges which will help diversify my characters powers.

The second would be Dragon HD progression using the Advanced True Dragon Rules in Draconomicon. My DM has already okayed this as an option at epic levels despite the fact that Kobolds don't advance by HD.

Another option would be Psionics, but as of yet we have not encountered any psionics, as no characters have come in yet as Psionic Characters and Psionics is mainly practiced on a separate continent north of the one the party is from, and the world being as primitive as it is does not see much travel between continents.

The last would be Totemist, but traditional lore for the world has Incarnum coming around about 5000 years in the future, so I would need to reflavor it a bit and do some in game RP and such in order to become one. Regardless I plan to eventually take 2 levels and a Throat Binding Feat for the Dragon Fire Mask for the extra Breath Weapon.

I will undoubtedly be taking dips into Each of the Martial Adept classes once I hit Epic levels, starting with Warblade at 21st for Iron Heart Surge and Focus, and Crusader and Swordsage once the character is able to take 9th level Maneuvers for White Raven shenanigans with my characters Legion of White Dragonspawn Kobold Exarchs and the Diamond Mind Maneuvers of Swordsage for versatility.
It has also been okayed for my character to take the Eternal Hero Epic Destiny from Dragon Magazine #363 which makes me lose my Feats 21st through 30th, but in turn grants me some quite useful benefits.

This is Tiburdarastix's current Character Sheet: http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=280438
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Im really bad at what I do.

hmm ... Wyrm Of War is a decent ToB port into
Sorc casting.  I have no idea how it's supposed
to work with a Warlock-based class.  Subbing
one maneuver for one (sp) invocation doesn't
seem like a good trade to me.

What's the setup of the rest of the party?

Have you looked at the DFA handbook?

Oh yeah I have been quite failiar with the DFA Handbook for a long while now.

I am using the Bonus Feat version of Wyrm of War, getting a bonus feat every 4 levels based around "Dragon Combat"

Right now the party consists of a Blue Dragon Wyrmling Warblade (some of my characters loot), a Gnoll Binder (PF Advanced Races Guide variant), a Sahuagin Shark Shaman (PF Druid variant), a Gargoyle(?) Disciple of Dispater, 2 Human Sorcerer/Incantrix Twins, and a Marrutact Sorcerer (Racial Spellcasting changed to Sorcerer casting), as well as potentially a Black Dragonwrought Kobold Soul Eater.
There are also some followers and former PCs still hanging around
