Brainstorming for Feat Names
« on: October 18, 2012, 07:31:10 PM »
Working on some homebrew, run into a bit of writer's block.  I have three save related feats.  The first is Tarrasque's Fortitude.... and I'm not sure what example creatures I want for X's Reflexes and X's Will.  These are epic feats, so the idea is to find iconic creatures that embody the saving throw in question (preferably epic level creatures) buuuuut....

Yeah, I got nothing for Reflex and Will.

Ideas?

I did think of Dragons, but unfortunately I could justify them for both Fort and Will (dragons aren't known for reflex saves).  And sadly, air elementals don't really have a good sense of epicness or power, since they scale from mook to titan of their kind.

I've played around with Elder Brain's Will, which is what Will is currently named, but it still sounds clunky to me.

Reflex, Reflex... I got nothing.  Surely there's a Dex heavy iconic monster in D&D I'm missing.  Anyway, I appreciate the names, maybe it'll inspire something else.

Maybe just call it Rogue's Reflexes or something.  If a creature doesn't work, use a class.

Unyielding Will?
Mere Will? (Paraphrasing C.S. Lewis work "Mere Christianity", for the more cerebral players)
Insistence?

Why not Choker's Reflexes?

Oh, and hi everyone. I'm back.

Some friends of mine in an online MMORPG I used to play would always say that when anyone came back from "AFK".

Me (after being gone for 5 mins): "I'm back!"
Them: "You were gone?"

Lich's Will?

Fey King's Will?  (or Wild Hunter's* Will)

*the MM5 Master of the Hunt.

Or Fey King's Reflexes (Ref +33, Will +28)
