Wresting Possesion

I've been going through "Faiths of Eberron" today and I saw the "Wrest possesion" feat. It allows the recipient of a findish possesion to turn the tables on the fiend and aquire it's Sp Su and Ex abilities for a number of rounds equal to the "victim's" Charisma modifier. I've been wondering how best to break this thing.. there are 2 problems present: The feat can be utilized onle after every third failed control attempt by the fiend and then the victim must succed on a level-charisma check with DC equal to 10+fiend's HD+ fiend's Cha modifier. How could I go about making sure that the fiend always tries unsuccesfully to control me so I end up taking It's powers? Any ideas? thanks in advance

iirc BoVD defines possession as being Incorporeal first
and then the fiend can do the possessing.
Incorporeal is rather yummy.
What's the lowest level Fiend Possessor you can get?
iirc (again) BoVD has a 4hd minimum on possessing.

Fiendish Codex I has complete demonic possession rules, and doesn't say anything about minimum HD, iirc. Incredibly good stuff, too!

As for the OP's question, how about planar binding a fiend and working out a very specific contract? Make sure to have an exorcist stand by, though...

I've been thinking something along the line of intimidation, as opposed to bargain. As in "find it's body and threaten to have it disintegrated If It doesn't cooperate" In did the cap is 4HD and 13 Cha or no possesion power available. Absolute control of the fiend is priority one. priority two is finding a way to allow it to try to control you more than 3 times per day without losing that ability. There is a clause that says that, the fiend may not attemtp to control a creature for the rest of the day after 3 consecutive failed tries

I believe the feat actually takes the place of the third attempt. So the fiend may attempt again. Finding a way around the rounds duration seems to be more important. IMO

Seems like a nice perspective although the best outcome would be to change the "cannot attemt" line with "the victim automaticaly succeds in further attempts on that day". If the possesed has enough charisma the fiend could empower him all night.
