Questions on Duskblade's spell-like abilities
« on: February 18, 2013, 01:54:20 PM »
As the subject says and straight to the point:

- What's the caster level regarding the Duskblade's spell-like abilities? Same as the class caster level? do they remain stationary at 1st level? (i couldn't find a source on this)
- According to this, there's no need for components of any sort to cast a spell-like ability. Correct?

Thank you

Nothing in the book itself, nor in the errata either. Interesting. Honestly, I would set the caster level for the SLA's at your regular Duskblade level.

And no, SLA's have no components to them at all. The invocations that, say, a Warlock gets specifically call out that they are an exception to the rule, with the invocations having Somatic and Verbal components.

This is how i've been playing it. It makes sense to me that a magical ability granted by the class should evolve with the class as well.

It's the first time someone plays a Duskblade in my group and the DM hasn't questioned this yet, but i was just covering the issue now, before questions come up. I looked around but couldn't find a source on this anywhere...
